A useful kitchen renovation cost starts with a defined scope. Replacing shutters while retaining the cabinets is different from removing the kitchen, changing services and fitting new furniture. This guide helps you collect comparable prices and total your own quoted amounts. It does not claim a verified national price range.
Choose what you are pricing
Write down what stays: cabinet carcasses, worktop, sink, appliances, flooring and service positions. Mark uncertain items for a site visit instead of assuming they can be retained. Include how the household will cook while the work is underway.
Ask each proposer to price the same measured layout and identify cabinet construction, shutters, hardware, worktop material and installation responsibilities. A price per square foot needs a stated measurement basis. Kitchen floor area, shutter area and cabinet area are different quantities.

A published service price is not a complete kitchen price
Checked on 22 October 2026, IKEA India lists a ₹9,999 service package broken into measurement ₹1,000, planning ₹1,000, delivery ₹1,999 and basic installation ₹6,000. Resolve the missing lines before comparing totals
Use one quote per scope comparison and avoid counting an installation charge twice when it is already included in the cabinetry package. Put any unresolved amount on a questions list. Enter zero only after confirming an item is included elsewhere or unnecessary.
Ask for the drawing revision and specification attached to the quote, its validity date, payment stages and treatment of changes. Keep a separate allowance for decisions you have not made, rather than allowing them to disappear from the budget.
Questions before you decide
Why is there no single price per square foot?
The amount depends on what is being measured and supplied. Ask for quantities and a written scope before comparing unit prices. Aangan has not verified a national installed-cost dataset.
